Success -What is it?  It is something most people desire, think they deserve, and believe they can achieve.  Most of us want it in some fashion, and desire to be recognized for it. But not everyone believes it is for them.  Success is for everyone. Success – What does it mean to you?

Some individuals do not think they have what it takes to be a success.  They limit themselves and make excuses for what they feel they are lacking.  Often there are others who look upon someone who has amounted to something ‘more,’ and wonder with amazement how it happened.

Then there are other people who think that success is always about how much money you make. Success is not all about money, fortune or fame.

Success is not always about the most intelligent person in the classroom who makes the A+.  It is often the person who burns the midnight oil to study, evaluate, prepare themselves, and make the grade for themselves alone, and not to impress another.

Success per the dictionary:

  • achievement of intention, planned or attempted, attainment of fame, wealth or power- impressive achievement, something that turns out well, accomplishment, victory, triumph, feat, attainment, winner, sensation, and success story

The next question should be, what is it to you and how can your reach your goals?  Do you have certain principles that you will not break, and do you know that it is up to you to make your life what you desire it to be?  Are you willing to go that extra mile to accomplish your dreams?

After some research and reading large amounts of information and exploring what others have to say about it, success is actually a very personal issue.

We are all uniquely embodied with different frames of minds, opinions, and souls.  We sometimes grow into being who we are before we thought much about being successful. Often becoming settled in where we are, not realizing there might be more.

While we may look at some soul who goes about life with easy calm, have nothing that seems fantastic or impressive to us, and feel sorry for them.  They seem as though they could care less about achievements or having great material things.  Success is not always measured by the highest paycheck.

Success 10

So, what is your prospective of success?

Is it about making a lot of money, having friends in high places?  Is it about getting that promotion that puts you, (you think) above others? Is it to own the largest home in the neighborhood? It is to be a successful parent with children who respect others and are respected?  Is it to make sure you do not fail as a person of character? Is it to accomplish your desires alone, or it is about balance and consideration of others?

Do you have the right perception of success?

Do you believe in yourself enough to know that you can achieve anything your heart desires, if you work at it hard enough and long enough?  You should, but hopefully you will also know that no one else can measure your success, and you are the only one that can achieve it for you.
